it's been almost 7 months since we came to Korea.
at 1st, we came with the intention of taking a "break" from the business for a year. but it turns out that there is no such thing as a "break" when you're running a business.
it is in your mind 24-7, it is in your heart 24-7.
so we decided to launch the "L7A: Los7Angeles" line from here.
it's just a graphical t-shirt line without too much fashion or style, just a test/ tease-line to see what we might be capable of doing from Korea to our customers back in the U.S.A.
one reference led to another and we were lucky(?) enough to encounter a t-shirt printing company that already offered their own prints; even prints that comes from the Hongik University students, a popular art school in Korea.
After a purchase of bulk amount of samples, we found ways to advertise to the U.S. stores without actually the sending over the physical samples to the U.S. -> by pictures, that the company ALREADY had! that was really not much work left for ourselves to do, but just ... market!
So we got our designs together, a website together, email marketing together, and some sleepless nights of the midnight candle-burning "customer support line" calls going. We even had our own "black" labels printed within 1 day!! to be placed onto our garments.
It's another long story how our goods got held in the U.S. customs who had us by the tip of our nerves. When everything cleared, we thought heaven came down to earth!?!? well, we were just extremely happy and relieved.
A lot of pushing through, pulling things together, massaging the deals were necessary. Then, finally we had completed our 1st round of import/ export! Hooray!!! But this would not have been possible without the help of our good friends Richard & Mei, who btw, are industry experts!!
Now, here we are... going at yet another challenge of... a "blouses" line this time.
just got done meeting with a new vendor/ factory that gave me good~comfortable~ vibes!
I see great things happening in the very near future!!
this lazy libra is trying very hard to get things going, cutting into her precious beauty sleep in the mornings... hahaha... here we go, yet again!!! ^^
